006 | The Magic of Being Alive & Finding Support with Will Rezin

Will Rezin is the co-founder of Trauma + Somatics, a somatic coach training program. He has worked with world-class coaches, internet marketing experts, Emmy award-winning producers, TED speakers, and Fortune 500 brand developers. What I love about Will is his curiosity, wonder, and magic all wrapped with a safe, warm, brilliant, and caring ribbon. He always looks to decode the science and language of humans. With a tender, beautiful heart, he discovered that the answers are all here - right inside our bodies.

Will joins me today to discuss the magic of being alive. He shares his personal experience with trauma and how it inspired him to become a trauma-informed Somatic Experiencing practitioner. We discuss why some therapists and counselors struggle to effectively help trauma patients and why it’s important to seek out practitioners who specialize in helping people heal from trauma. Will discusses the events that led him to staying at a group home during his teenage years, how he learned to adapt to his new surroundings, and why he’ll always be grateful for that experience. We discuss why Will believes we all possess an innate agility and flexibility in life and why many people struggle to cultivate it. We also discuss what could happen if we leave our trauma unchecked - with a disconnect from the experience, the story, and what’s happening in our bodies.

“A lack of capacity to live in the present moment, we’re robbing ourselves of life. We’re resisting living.”
- Will Rezin
