038 | Relearning How to Love with Giovanna Capozza
Giovanna Capozza is a coach, writer, functional medicine practitioner, and the Founder of Love Well Coaching, a platform through which she works with individuals seeking to understand and heal their unhealthy relationship patterns. With more than a decade of leadership and coaching experience, Giovanna guides her clients in developing a rock-solid relationship with themselves and removing the blocks that hinder them from the love that they deserve. Her debut memoir, Love Well: Confessions of a Lovesick Woman, is available for pre-order and scheduled for release on Valentine's Day, 2022.
Giovanna joins me today to discuss being in a relationship while living with unintegrated trauma. She describes how her parents’ relationship impacted the way she sought out relationships in her adult life. She explains why it’s important to be compassionate to our inner child. She also reveals how it’s possible to have a healthy relationship while healing trauma.
“The ways we inadvertently learn to love may not always be right, but it doesn’t mean we’re broken. It just means we have some things we need to unlearn.”
